Requirements

Recruitment Terms Recruitment will be made under the Sindh Management Positions Policy, 2022 and relevant Government of Sindh notifications. The appointment will initially be on a 2-year contract, extendable annually for up to 2 additional years, subject to satisfactory performance. Additional requirements: Demonstrable experience working on UN Environmental and Climate Change Conventions. Excellent research, documentation, and report-writing skills. Experience in preparing reports related to UN conventions will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Treaty Implementation Cell (TIC) on environment and climate change matters. Researching and analyzing issues related to environmental protection and climate change. Monitoring developments related to UN Environmental and Climate Change Conventions. Preparing reports, briefs, policy papers, and documentation for national and international reporting requirements. Coordinating with government departments, development partners, and relevant stakeholders. Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of treaty obligations related to environmental and climate commitments. Drafting communication materials, presentations, and awareness content. Collecting, compiling, and managing environmental and climate-related data and information. Supporting the preparation and submission of reports to UN bodies and international organizations. Providing technical input on environmental and climate change policies and programs.
